BeautyCares Gala Raises Nearly $1M for Cancer Survivors

Look Good Feel Better, the global charitable organization dedicated to supporting people in cancer treatment, raised nearly $1 million at its annual BeautyCares DreamBall Gala held Oct. 8 in New York City. Funds benefit the nonprofit’s free workshops that help patients manage the visible side effects of cancer treatment.

Organizers expect to surpass the $1 million mark with proceeds from the BeautyCares online auction, open through October 15 and featuring exclusive designer goods, beauty products, luxury travel, and one-of-a-kind experiences.

Hosted by entertainment icon Melissa Gilbert, the 2025 DreamBall brought together stars of stage and screen, beauty industry leaders, and influencers to celebrate the power of community in uplifting those in cancer treatment and recovery.

The evening honored Broadway performer and breast cancer survivor Kara Lindsay as the BeautyCares Survivor Advocate, Charlotte Holman Ros, President of Parfums Christian Dior North America, as BeautyCares Corporate Champion, and Mikayla Nogueira, social media influencer and co-founder of POV Beauty, as the first-ever Beauty Influencer & Brand Founder Honoree.

In a surprise tribute, Broadway veterans Krysta Rodriguez — a 2017 Survivor Advocate and cancer survivor herself — and Caroline Bowman, Lindsay’s former Wicked co-star, delivered musical performances in her honor. The night concluded with an operatic finale by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jasmine Rice LaBeija.

“This year’s celebration underscored the power of community to support those in cancer treatment and recovery,” said Louanne Roark, Executive Director of the Look Good Feel Better Foundation. “The beauty and personal care products community has embraced our program as its flagship initiative to directly serve people in cancer treatment.”

Following the main event, guests gathered for DreamBall After Dark, an after-hours celebration hosted by BeautyCares NextGen, a committee representing the next generation of beauty and personal care industry advocates.

Founded in 1989, Look Good Feel Better has served more than 2.5 million cancer patients across 27 countries. The organization offers free in-person and virtual workshops led by trained beauty professionals covering skincare, makeup, wigs, nail care, and body image for people in active treatment or recovery.
