The nation’s oldest beauty industry media brand, American Salon, has re-launched its signature American Salon Lookbook after a 2-year hiatus.

This issue of the special-edition online magazine is centered around a pivotal industry evolution, as wellness rapidly integrates with — and changes the face of — the world of beauty.

The 2025 Lookbook's cover collection is by celebrity stylist Ted Gibson, who created a photoshoot for American Salon inspired by the adaptogenic mushrooms key to his new beauty brand, TED GIBSON BEAUTY WELLNESS SCIENCE.

Other featured artists are Aveda’s Creative Director, Antoinette Beenders, and award-winning international stylists including Charlie Price, Trey Gillen, Julia Tomczek, and Lauren McCowan.

The issue’s “Deep Dive” is a profile of Shana Eichenberg, the nail polish historian behind the viral TikTok sensation @Vintage_Dusties, who has built a massive and enthusiastic following as an unlikely, rules-tossing beauty influencer.

Other features include product guides, trend reports, beauty in the news, and a “Look Back” at the beauty industry via American Salon’s extensive archives.

American Salon launched in 1877 as The American Hairdresser and has published continuously since then in print and online.

Today the brand is owned by the international events and media corporation Questex, and is the media partner of Be+Well | Beauty and Wellness Show, a new iteration of the former International Beauty Show and International Esthetic, Cosmetic, and Spa Conference.
